It’s been brought to my attention someone pretending to be Heritage Property Consulting has been fraudulently listing properties on Craigslist and other websites for a fraction of expected market rent. The scammers have been requiring applicants to provide identifying information online, with payment for thousands of dollars, all without the applicants ever seeing the properties.
Beware, and use good common sense! If the rent is too good a deal to be true, it’s likely a scam. Please never send money to an anonymous person, and be sure to actually see a rental before applying.
I’m so sad to think that someone may have been taken in by a scammer using my property photos, and I hope that everyone sees this scheme for what it is: a reprehensible con.
